In the main libraries (bibliothèques universitaires), you can print, make photocopies, and scan documents. In order to do so, you need your university email address (firstname.lastname.etu@univ-lille.fr) and password. If you have been accepted to the university but have not yet received your email address, use<link https: sesame.univ-lille.fr external-link-new-window internal link in current> the Sesame tool to activate your account and receive your university email address [French only].
You can use these copying, scanning and printing services in any of the main libraries (BU Droit-Gestion, BU Santé, BU SHS, and Lilliad), as well as in some of the associated libraries.
How to print
To print a document, you must use the application called Impression SCD, which you will find in your ENT (<link https: ent.univ-lille.fr external-link-new-window internal link in current>Environnement numérique de travail, or digital work environment). You can send a document to print with this app from any computer you like: the computer next to the copiers, any other public computer in the libraries, or a personal computer located anywhere.
Once you have clicked on the Impression SCD app, click on "Impression web" or "Web print", then click on "Envoyer un travail" or "Submit a job". Follow the instructions : choose a black and white or colour printer, the number of copies (exemplaires), choose the files to print... You have 72 hours to go to the library of your choice, pay, and get your document printed. After this deadline, your print job will be cancelled (and you will not have to pay for it).
How to use the copiers to make photocopies, scan documents, and pick up your print jobs sent from Impression SCD
If you want to make a photocopy or scan a document, or if you have already used Impression SCD to send your print job, you can go directly to the copiers in the library. There is no need to use the computer next to the copiers. (For photocopies and printing, you must have money on your SEDECO account on your student card - use the charging station, borne de chargement, if necessary.)
1st use: connect your card
The first time that you use the copiers, tap your student card on the card reader (just to the left of the screen that says PaperCut). Then enter your university email address and password. (To use numbers and capital letters, click on Ver. maj.) Finally, click on "Connexion". Your student card is now linked to your account. From now on, to use the copiers, all you will need to do is tap your student card on the card reader; you will not need to type your email address and password each time (but if you forget your student card, you can still access your printing account by entering your email address and password).
In order to print a document you have sent with Impression SCD, click on "Impressions". To make a photocopy, click twice on "Copieur". To scan a document and have it emailed to your university email address, click on "Numérisations". To scan a document and save it to a USB flash drive, click twice on "Copieur" and then on "Scan par USB".
